2023 Cameroon Silver & Copper 750th Anniversary Church of Mary Lubeck Crucifix Coin

The Triumphal Cross in the Church of Mary in Lübeck, Germany is an oak carving completed around 750 years ago. It’s not known who carved the 5’ x 10’ sculpture, but we know it was bought by Bishop Albert Krummedick. Along with such Biblical figures as the Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene, and John the Apostle, the Bishop is shown kneeling in prayer before the sculpture that can still be viewed today. This bi-metallic copper & silver replica coin measures 71.8 mm x 64.3 mm, the Cross is struck in 80 grams of copper and the figure of Jesus is one ounce of 99.9% silver.
