The fourth and final 2025 American Innovation Dollar is set for release tomorrow at 12pm EST. The United States Mint will honor Texas in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags from Philadelphia and Denver.
Beginning in 2018 with an introductory coin and following up with four coins per year, the multi-year series aims to honor innovation and innovators for each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the five United States territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands). This year, the four states being honored are Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, and Texas.
The reverse design depicts an American astronaut during a spacewalk outside the International Space Station. The image itself symbolizes the pinnacle of support given by the Mission Control Center for NASA’s human space program in terms of economic, logistical, and intellectual backing. The design also celebrates the support of its astronauts from several different countries that take part in the International Space Station program. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and TEXAS are inscribed. Artistic Infusion Program designer Ron Sanders created the reverse while Mint Medallic Artist John P. McGraw sculpted it.
Remaining constant throughout the series is the obverse design showcasing a dramatic representation of the Statue of Liberty. IN GOD WE TRUST and $1 are inscribed in addition to a stylized gear privy mark representing industry and innovation. Mintage year, mint mark and E PLURIBUS UNUM are incused on the edge of the coins.
The household limit for the rolls and bags is set at 10 with the product and mintage limit not set. The 25-coin rolls retail for $36.25, and the 100-coin bags retail for $123.50.
