REVERSE: The reverse presents the Marine Corps emblem encircled by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, P, and Semper Fidelis.

OBVERSE: The obverse depicts the Iwo Jima flag raising with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, MARINES, 1775-2005, and 2005.
