The 2011 Medal of Honor Commemorative Coin Program pays tribute to the United States’ highest military decoration and the exceptional courage of its recipients.

2011 S Medal of Honor Commem Dollar

Authorized by Public Law 111-91, these commemoratives were issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the earliest Medal of Honor awards during the Civil War. Surcharges from the program supported the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, advancing education and preservation of recipients’ stories.

This Uncirculated commemorative dollar will come in Original Government Packaging accompanied by a Certifiate of Authenticity.

REVERSE: Depicts a service member carrying a fellow soldier to safety. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, S, and ONE DOLLAR are inscribed.

OBVERSE: Features three Medal of Honor designs from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, and MEDAL OF HONOR 1861-2011 are inscribed.
