The second collector edition American Silver Eagle of 2025 is releasing tomorrow from the United States Mint at 12pm EST. Retailing for $91.00, the West Point minted Uncirculated (Burnished) $1 coin will have an initial household limit of 10 and a product limit of 90,000.
Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty design on the obverse has been featured on the coin since its introduction in 1986. The adaptation depicts a full-length view of Liberty in stride while the American flag is seen draped around her. The reverse features an eagle landing with an oak branch in its talons, the second rendering of the series as it went through a complete design change in 2021 for the program’s 35th anniversary.
Struck in 1oz of .999 fine silver, the coin will bear the ‘W’ mintmark on the reverse and will come in a black presentation box accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The Burnished Silver Eagle will also feature an anti-counterfeit reeded edge variation to enhance security. The Mint also implemented this special variation in 2021, changing the location from year to year.
