The wait is over and the anticipation has been building for the release of the 2025 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars from the United States Mint. Tomorrow, both of these annual releases will be made available beginning at 12pm EST.
Both coins are struck at Philadelphia and carry no mintmark. Each is comprised of 0.859 troy ounces of 99.9% silver bullion with an uncirculated finish. Limited to 150,000 in product and mintage of each bullion coin, the initial household order limit on each is set to 10.
With the iconic design from United States Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan, Morgan Silver Dollars were originally produced from 1878-1904 and then again in 1921. Fast forward to 2021, the Mint brought back the collector favorite and utilized modern technology to create a stunning uncirculated finish for the design. The modern released celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the original coin’s final year of production.
First struck from 1921-1928, and then again from 1934-1935, the Peace Silver Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci. This coin celebrated and honored the sacrifices made in World War I, and symbolized our nation’s power internationally. Just as they did with the Morgan Silver Dollar, the Mint also reintroduced an uncirculated silver bullion design for the Peace dollar in 2021. This release marked the 100th Anniversary of the transition from the Morgan dollar to the Peace dollar.
Both pure silver Morgan and Peace Dollars are individually encapsulated and arrive in their own Original Government Packaging that bears an official United States Mint seal and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
