Woodrow Wilson Presidential Silver Medal Available Tomorrow

The United States Mint is gearing up for its 28th release in the Presidential Silver Medal Program tomorrow beginning at 12pm EST. Retailing for $164.00, the medal will honor the 28th President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson.

An American politician, who first served as the president of Princeton University and as the Governor of New Jersey, Wilson was elected President in the 1912 election against Republican nominee William Howard Taft and Progressive nominee Theodore Roosevelt.

Struck in 1oz of .999 fine silver, the obverse of the medal depicts a bust of Woodrow Wilson along with the inscription WOODROW WILSON. The reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings holding branches of olive and oak in its talons. The Capitol of the United States is shown in the background. The inscriptions read INAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MAR. 4, 1913 and SECOND TERM MAR. 5, 1917.

The medal will come in Original Government Packaging accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
